Another 8-race card is on tap at Santa Anita on Jan 14th. The weather is expected to be mostly sunny with temps in the 70’s. The 7th race is a good looking flat mile turf affair pitting grade one winner Monzante against the speedy Tres Borrachos.

The 1st race is a claiming sprint for 4yo’s, and 6-5 fav Run Over You could easily be along in time for Arambula/Avila.

The 2nd race is an interesting maiden route for 3yo fillies. Sweet Hanni seems worth a gamble at 5-1. Place finisher from bow came back to score, and Cerin is 21% first route and 24% maiden claiming to special weight.



The 3rd race kicks off the pick six, and I have all of the action covered (free analysis and tickets) on the pick six blog site. This race seems to boil down to the three inside horses, and I give a slight edge to NoCal invader Just Heat.

The 4th race is a maiden claiming sprint, and This Time Baby goes inside to outside and could improve 2nd off the shelf.

The 5th race is my MySpace free selection of the day.

Another maiden claiming sprint in the 6th race, and second timer Phoenician Star is the tepid 3-1 morning line choice.

The 7th race is my Horse Racing Nation free selection of the day.

Finale is cheap claiming route. Orientation Hall and James Prior are obvious threats.
