Fair Grounds Recap – Feb 26th

Fast main track and firm turf course (no wire jobs). Stalkers and closers best on both surfaces.

Riding double for John Jacinto and Jamie Theriot.

Frustrating end to the early pick four. I needed Musicstreet Menace or Tale of the Court in the final leg, and the former could not quite reel in stalking winner Hype.



On the analysis front, I got home tops Speedy Solution (.40) and Betty’s Champ (.60). I also tabbed to tab the 4th race exacta (.80), Pick 3 (race 2-4, 5.40), and the 6th race exacta (best bet #2, .80).

Fair Grounds Preview – Feb 27th

An 11-race program will be run on Saturday at the Fair Grounds. Pick six carryover of ,982. There is a 40% chance of AM showers with a high temperature of 56.

Saturday’s feature race is the k Allen Lacombe Memorial Handicap for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. Tizaqueena is the 8-5 morning line favorite, and the 5yo daughter of Tiznow won a graded turf race at Churchill last year. Note that she is 2 for 2 over the local weeds.
